There are now 33 million people in the UK who are online (68% of the population), and 26 million of those are on broadband.

Almost 100% of youth are online.

77% of people access the internet from home.

The average internet user spends 16 hours a week online, with broadband users spend twice as long online as narrowband users.

77% of internet users actively shopped online in the last 6 months, and in 2007 online sales reached £46bn.

Internet users are slightly more likely to be in the socioeconomic group ABC1, and younger compared to the GB population as a whole.

61% of the internet population are aged 18-44.
